Getting Started
I’ve rebooted my tech updates blog and moved to wordpress as a hosting platform so that things can stay around with a bit more permanence.
I’d previously hosted my content on my own development environment, but I hit some challenges with this approach that are less fun now than they were at the time.
We’ve moved a few times, setup and tear down of a small cluster is quite an effort. My environment is truly an experimental setup, so things like resiliency and redundancy are for budgets beyond what I’m prepared to pay to learn at home.
I break things – this can be quite useful as learning why and puzzling out how to avoid this in future has been extremely vaulable both in my professional life and also just for my own learning, but makes things less fun when the website is down. So for now, the site and learnings I’m going to document stay here, and the experimental platform stays, well experimental and I’ll put all the crazy stuff there.
